Practicing English regularly can feel surprisingly difficult even when you've reached an upper intermediate level. At this stage, you're already comfortable with the language so the urgency fades. Daily life gets busy and English practice often gets pushed aside. Without specific goals, it's tempting to think your current level is sufficient. The progress you make now is less noticeable too, which makes it harder to stay motivated.
But skipping practice is risky because language skills fade without use. You might start forgetting words or losing fluency. English continues changing as well, with new slang and expressions constantly emerging. Regular practice maintains your confidence and helps you sound more natural in conversations. It also creates opportunities for better jobs and deeper cultural connections.
In my new podcast, we’re going to chat about making English practice easier. It’s all about turning it into a habit. Tune in and have some fun!
